Student Awards

Evaluation Criteria

The presentations will be evaluated according to the criteria described below:

- Depth of understanding of the research topic;
- Thoroughness of the applicant´s research;
- Originality and independence of the applicant´s contribution;
- Overall quality of the presentation;
- Quality of the extended abstract;

Bernhard Gross Award

Bernhard Gross Award: was established by B-MRS in honor of the pioneer of Brazilian materials research Bernhard Gross. The quality of extended abstracts and presentation as well as the scientific contribution will be all considered as criteria for granting the award. The best works of each Symposium (1 oral and 1 poster), submitted by graduate and undergraduate students, will be awarded by the XXI B-MRS.

ACS Award

ACS Award: The five best posters and the five best oral presentations will receive the "ACS Publications Best Poster Prize" and the "ACS Publications Best Oral Presentation Prize" respectively. The prizes will consist of R$ 2.000,00 for each winning work, in addition to the certificate.,

Royal Society of Chemistry Awards

The three best posters and the three best oral presentations will receive the " Royal Society of Chemistry (Materials) Best Poster Prize" and the " Royal Society of Chemistry (Materials) Best Oral Presentation Prize" respectively. The prizes will consist of £ 200 book vouchers for each winning work for purchases at the RSC online bookstore, in addition to a RSC certificate.
